The file transfer system WORKS, you just need to configure it if you are behind a router/firewall.

The one and only rule is this: For the system to work, at least ONE of the two peers need to be able to host a server for the transfer.

If you can't host one, for various reasons (you can't forward the server port, you are behind a firewall, crappy ISP, etc) then you HAVE TO UNCHECK the "Can you host a TCP server server for transfers" check box, in the Control Panel of Agent. If you don't uncheck it, then the other peer will try to connect to you, but since your port is not accessible, he will get a TCP error, and on your side you will be stuck at "Waiting for Client".

If at least ONE peer can host the server, then both of you can send AND receive files. This is not the crappy file transfer system of MSN or IRC. It works on both ways, it doesn't matter WHO established the connection, once it's linked, you can both send/receive files.

If you don't know how to forward ports with a router, go to this website: http://www.portforwa...routerindex.htm
